A ten storey Grade A office accommodation, including three retail units, which overcomes the challenge of preserving a landmark listed building and integrating this with an innovative design that presents a valuable addition to Glasgow’s varied cityscape.
This site connects key Glasgow buildings – the Odeon Art Deco corner and James Miller House on West Nile Street. Each of these buildings is entirely a reflection of its time and represents ages of optimism and growth.
The office building is a series of components, each responding to function and variety in neighbouring context.
The animated curtain façade allows the entire building to be wrapped in one architectural language providing a bold homogeneity to the design solution, respecting the city setting and maximising 360 degree views.
