Renewal of the existing accommodation, rationalisation of the campus and the creation of a more civic and improved public realm.
The scheme, which included the demolition of several vacated buildings, provides teaching accommodation, hair and beauty suites, a catering kitchen and training restaurant, student services and a specialist facility to support students with learning difficulties.
The accommodation is provided in a two storey teaching wing and a central double height link block, which connects with existing accommodation to the south. Connections to the north, across Strand Road, are achieved via a high level retained and upgraded link bridge.
